I am pretty much sure that some you will agree with me that searching for “that” perfect gift from vacation trip could be a headache. During most of our trip, we are focusing on enjoying our time far away from our workplaces and hectic days full interaction with our blackberries not with our loved ones – not thinking about the approaching day of reckoning: the time when we must go back to reality and it will bite. At the end of our holidays, we often run into a small problem of not thinking about getting something special from all the places we visited, desperately searching for those little souvenirs, small gifts for our loved ones or bosses or even ourselves. It is easy to find something in the big supermarket type of souvenir store, catering to all the tourists (or folks like us) – one-size-fits-all souvenirs. However, going this way we are cheating ourselves from having a great story which connects with the hunt for this very particular gift.
Here is a photo story from our search for a perfect gift made of glass. This great attempt took us across two European countries: Poland and the Czech Republic, and over the snow-covered roads crossing Karkonosze Mountains. I strongly recommend a trip like one depicted below because you not only will find the “perfect for a gift” – but you are having fun because you will go skiing, drink some beer and even take a beer bath. Finally, upon return from your vacation – you will present your friend with a small glass mushroom.
However, this glass mushroom, when accompanied by a very interesting story (together with convincing photos) and connected with search and fun of finding “the perfect souvenir”, becomes the real gift cherished for a long time.

Now lets to go the Czech Republic and have some more fun with our search…
